WITHOUT REVENGE continued the sizzling start to his Australian career in front of his big ownership group with a second straight win on Saturday at Doomben.
Having scored impressively at his first start for the stable after arriving from the United Kingdom, the 5YO gelding promptly handled the step up to Saturday Metropolitan grade to make it two from two with a dominant display in the Class 3 Plate (1640m).
WITHOUT REVENGE had been due to contest the lucrative Five Diamonds at Rosehill, but after missing a key lead-up run due to a wet track, David decided to keep him in Queensland and the decision paid off as he preserved his unbeaten record Down Under under Ryan Maloney.
David was understandably delighted with the performance, saying: “He is a quality horse, and today was the perfect experience for him.
“He balanced up nicely mid-race and put them to the sword. I’ve been taken with this guy from the start, he’s a magnificent type and he’s not your typical European stayer, he looks more of a sprinter-miler to me although we may try him over further in time.
"He’s made a great start to his career over here and the future looks bright for him.”
