WITHOUT REVENGE EYES FIVE DIAMONDS

WITHOUT REVENGE made a winning start for OnTrack Thoroughbreds as the British import booked himself a ticket towards the $2 Million Five Diamonds in Sydney.

One year on from his last start in the United Kingdom, the 5YO streaked clear of his rivals on debut on his home track in the Class 4 Handicap (1400m).

The son of Muhaarar won twice during his racing career in England, and after an impressive trial last month he was backed into odds-on favouritism at his first start in Australia.

Given a confident ride by Ryan Maloney, WITHOUT REVENGE let down impressively in the home straight to collect a cheque for $13,400.

Trainer David Vandyke said the $2 Million Five Diamonds for five-year-olds over 1800m at Rosehill on Saturday, November 5 would be the perfect target race for him.

"It was such a wonderful first start in Australia for him, exactly what we wanted for his confidence," said Vandyke.

"He ran right through the line and he could have gone over a mile and won by further.

"OnTrack were astute enough to purchase this bloke in Europe and I was delighted when they asked me to train him.

"We'll keep an eye on the Five Diamonds in Sydney, I threw in a nomination this morning so we'll look to give him another run in Queensland and head down there.

Congratulations to his owners: OnTrack Without Revenge, Mr D Lesjak, Mr C Lambley, Mrs R J Lambley, Bayles Girls Racing, Mr D J Bates, Mrs M D Bates, Pinehurst Racing, Dr D J O'Brien, Bayside Allsports, Mr P Baker, Mrs C J McGrorey, Mr M J Ostermeyer, Dr D A Worthley, Mr P Arbuckle, Mr A Grigg, Mr G F Townsend and Mr S R Clark.
