JAKKALBERRY FINN continued the stable’s hot recent streak when he powered home to score a last-to-first victory on the Sunshine Coast synthetic track.
After missing the start, JAKKALBERRY found himself six lengths adrift of the field, but slowly worked his way into the race under a clever ride by leading apprentice Kyle Wilson-Taylor.
The pair weaved a passage through the field and gradually closed in on the leaders, who had set a strong pace up front.
The 6YO son of Jakkalberry was still fourth at the 400m mark, but grabbed the lead with 200m to go and the result was never in doubt as he pulled clear in the closing stages.
From our last six starts, the stable has now scored four wins and one minor placing.
