SPEEDY ORBISYN MAKES IT A HAT-TRICK

ORBISYN broke through the $250,000 prizemoney barrier and continued his purple patch of form with a third straight victory at Doomben on Saturday.

The speedster again showed a clean set of heels to lead all the way under the urgings of Paul Hamblin with the big weight of 60kg.

The win extended ORBISYN’s impressive record to eight wins from and three minor placings from 16 starts.

Trainer David Vandyke rated the performance one of ORBISYN’s better victories and said he may now earn an opportunity at Stakes level.

"It was a dominant win with a big weight so maybe we can dream a bit higher down the track," said David.

"He's Open company and we might be looking at Listed or Group 3 races in the future."

Vandyke paid tribute to the work of Hamblin who has developed a great affinity with the horse - having guided him to three wins from three starts together.

"It's amazing. He does so much work for our stable and he'll ride horses no one else will," said David.

"It's wonderful to reward him and the wonderful owner Jan McMillan who bred this horse."

Congratulations to Jan and Paul!
