SKINS extended his excellent first-up record with a sixth career win at the Gold Coast on Saturday.
From his five starts following a spell, SKINS now has three wins and two minor placings to his name after his success as the hot favourite in the Open Handicap (1200m).
With Robbie Fradd in the saddle for the first time, the son of Sepoy settled just off the speed and eventually wore down the second favourite in the home straight to score by half-a-length.
It was SKINS’ first win since he completed a hat-trick at Doomben last April, and took his career prizemoney earnings close to $150,000 from 13 starts.
Congratulations to his owners: Mr S P Mayer, Mrs M M Mayer, Mr M Sinclair, Mr C J Bell, Dr A G Testro, Dr J D Carter, Mr C S Roberton, Mr M Chinnick, Mr J S Testro and Mr M Facaris.
