SIR GUNSEN OUTSTAYS HIS RIVALS

SIR GUNSEN was rewarded for his recent consistency with a well-deserved third career win in the Vietnam Veterans Cup at Kilcoy.

The son of So You Think had finished in the placings at his last two starts coming into the race and the slight drop in distance to 1900m did the trick as he clung on for a narrow victory.

Jockey Matt Powell made his move mid-race to take up the lead with 1000m to go, and despite being challenged late, the pair were strong enough through to the line.

Congratulations to the members of the Brownson family who race SIR GUNSEN.
