MY SNOW QUEEN LEAVES RIVALS COLD

MY SNOW QUEEN made an instant impression for the stable when she handed her connections an early Christmas present with victory at Beaudesert on Christmas Eve.

The recent acquisition had impressed in a trial at her new home track earlier in the month, and carried that form into her stable debut as she claimed victory in the Class 2 Handicap (1200m).

MY SNOW QUEEN sat in a prominent position from the outset, and when jockey Matthew Powell took her to the front she soon put a gap on her rivals. Despite having to carry the topweight of 59kg, the 4YO mare clung on bravely to justify her strong market support and collect a cheque for $13,400.

The daughter of Star Turn now has three wins and six minor placings from her 17 career starts.

Many congratulations to her owners: Mrs M Branthwaite, Mr C Branthwaite, Mr T Butt, Mrs A M Butt, Miss Z Wade, Ms C Pope, Dr S McClintock, Mr G J Brown, Mr G Mcquillan, Mr S Whitton, Mr D J Donohue, Mr D J Donohue and Mr J Wade.
