FAST TALKING LEAVES THEM SPEECHLESS

Stable favourite FAST TALKING put in a vintage display as a rising 9YO when he scored his 11th career win and broke through $500,000 in prizemoney at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

After a very solid return at the same venue two weeks prior, FAST TALKING stepped up to the mile at career start number 53 and promptly rolled back the years with a powerful performance under Kyle Wilson-Taylor.

The small but competitive field went along at a decent tempo, and when Wilson-Taylor clicked FAST TALKING through his gears the gelding responded with a late burst of speed to collect a cheque for $48,800 and end the season on a high note.

“We all love this horse,” said David.

“He’s just an absolute pleasure to train and is so versatile. He puts in every time he goes to the races. It doesn’t matter the distance or track rating, he just has that will to win.

“Full credit to Kyle, he knows this horse so well. I liked the way he dropped back and had a breather at around the 700-metre mark, he had confidence in himself and the horse and up the straight it was just magical to watch.

“He’s a very tough horse and he’ll be looking for further now, but for the time being we’ll just enjoy this win with him.”

Many congratulations to his owners: Mrs A Nestor, Mr M Lloyd, Mr A E Lloyd, Mr R R Gerdes, Mrs J A Nestor, Mrs W Cafe, Mr G Jenkins, Mr R Gough, Mr B Hurley, Mr G C Bible, Mr J R Hozack, Mr G Griffin, Mr R R Austin, Mr G Warburton, Mr B Rollo, Mr W Stanley, Mrs A J Murray and Mrs J M Nestor.
